Gareth Bale scored one of the greatest goals seen in a Champions League final and then issue a “Come and Get Me” plea in his post-match interview with BT Sport.

The Wales international made his mark instantly after coming on as a second-half substitute during Real Madrid’s 3 – 1 win over Liverpool in Kyiv on Saturday night.

From Marcelo’s clipped and deflected cross from the left, Bale launched himself into the Ukraine night sky to deliver the perfect bicycle kick and restore Real’s advantage.

His post-match bombshell surpassed even that. Speaking to Des Kelly, Bale said:

“I need to be playing week-in, week-out and that hasn’t happened this season for one reason or another … I have to sit down in the summer and discuss my future with my agent and take it from there.”

His frustration at a lack of playing time was evident as he made it clear that aside from a six-week injury suffered at the start of the season, he has been fully fit for selection.

Last summer, Manchester United made several attempts to land the winger but he elected to remain in Madrid to prove himself at the Bernabeu. However, it seems the lack of matches is beginning to take its’ toll on his patience.

Which of the English clubs will be the first to move for him?
