Sandro Tonali has been grabbing headlines left and right for Brescia over the past few months, but there’s another player that has been impressive for the recently-promoted Serie A outfit over the past 18 months. And if recent reports are true, then we could see him depart for greener pastures sooner than later.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, both Watford and Villarreal are showing interest in making a move for coveted Brescia centre-back Andrea Cistana. He is coming off an impressive performance against Juventus in the Serie A, and bigger sides are already taking notice of his abilities.
Both Watford and Villarreal could really use Cistana’s services. While The Hornets sit dead last in the Premier League standings and are in dire need of defensive help given their recent performances, El Submarino Amarillo could also use his presence at the back. Cistana is good enough to become a regular starter for either club in case he leaves Brescia.
It has been reported that Watford sent scouts to Lombardy on Tuesday with Cistana producing another impressive display in Brescia’s narrow 2-1 defeat at home to the reigning Serie A champions. That performance could only boost Cistana’s chances to materialise a move to the Premier League in the near future.
Cistana, 22, has made five appearances (scoring once) for Brescia during the current Serie A campaign.
