Danny Rose Set For Marseille Move

If there is one player that has lost consideration in the England national team set up is Danny Rose. The Tottenham Hotspur defender once looked like one of the best left-backs in Europe, but things have changed massively and now he is struggling to even hold down a first-team spot for the Spurs.

Considering the 28-year-old does not appear to figure in Mauricio Pochettino’s immediate plans, Rose seems set to accept a move before the end of the month in order to secure his England future while also looking for first-team football. And with only a few days left before the end of the transfer window, Olympique Marseille appear as favourites to acquire the talented defender.

Paris Saint-German and Schalke had previously been linked to the Tottenham left-back, but neither side have confirmed that interest and neither side has submitted an offer, either.

Rose would certainly represent an upgrade at the left-back position on PSG, Schalke or Marseille. In fact, he is good enough to start on most teams in the world, but right now it seems he must leave the Spurs in order to gain regular playing time. And based on recent rumours, we might see him feature in the Ligue 1 sooner than later.

England manager Gareth Southgate will name his squad on Thursday to face Spain and Switzerland.
