FC Barcelona might be set to lose Neymar during the current transfer window, but they could be on the verge of replacing him with another talented Brazilian player.
According to a report from RAC1 that was later confirmed by MARCA, Los Blaugranas have reportedly agreed terms with Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool‘s star that has been linked with a potential move to the Camp Nou outfit during the entire summer. The same report indicates that the player has a full agreement with Barcelona, so the final step would be both clubs agreeing to a transfer fee.
Based on what has been said during the current transfer window, Liverpool are not willing to let Coutinho leave for anything less than €80 million. Barcelona will not have an easy time trying to convince Liverpool, however, as manager Jürgen Klöpp recently said he is not going to sell any of his star players this summer.
The 25-year-old Brazilian playmaker – who can play all over the attacking third but is better suited to a creative role on the left – enjoyed a great season at Anfield Road, scoring 14 goals and adding nine assists in 36 matches across all competitions for The Reds. He is no Neymar, but there is no question he would fit perfectly at Camp Nou Stadium.
