Done Deal: Man City sign Claudio Bravo, Hart exit

Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Claudio Bravo, 33.

The Chilean international arrived in Manchester last night and is set to undergo a medical today, before finalising personal terms ahead of a move to the Etihad.

A late attempt by Barcelona to persuade Bravo to stay at the Camp Nou failed and the £13.8m transfer is set to be completed this week.

Pep Guardiola confirmed his interest in bringing in the goalkeeper at his pre-match press conference yesterday, “I cannot deny what everyone knows,” he said before adding, “At the moment, he is not our player.”

Joe Hart, 29, has been told by Guardiola that the flaw in his game is his distribution. The England ‘keeper is set to leave the Etihad this summer but has been criticised for a lack of accuracy in his passing.

Hart is said to be furious with City for not being open with him about his future, with claims that he is short of time to find a permanent move away from the Etihad.

Barcelona are set to sign Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, 27, as a replacement. The Dutch international has been told by former boss Frank De Boer that he is good enough to challenge for the Number One role in the Catalan capital.

Completing the transfer circle, Ajax have agreed a year-long loan deal with Newcastle United for Tim Krul, 28.
