Inter Milan have not been very active during the transfer market this summer, as their rivals AC Milan have gotten lots of praise for their activity over the past few weeks.
However, the Giuseppe Meazza outfit have finally identified a world-class player as their latest transfer target. Inter are reportedly willing to do whatever it takes to secure the services of Arturo Vidal, one of the most important players for Bayern Munich this past season.
According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Luciano Spalletti is decided to sign the former Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen star, and Inter would be prepared to submit a massive offer for him. It has been rumored that Inter are willing to offer €45 million, although the offer could increase to €50M or even €60M in an effort to convince Bayern. On the same note, Inter would offer Vidal a four-year deal with a wage around €7M per season.
The chances of Bayern selling Vidal are slim to none, especially if we consider that Xabi Alonso retired last season. The team has decent epth in midfield with the likes of Corentin Tolisso, Renato Sanches, Thiago Alcantara and Joshua Kimmich, but Vidal is clearly the only player in that group that can effectively fill the box-to-box role. Not to mention he is already used to life in Germany and the Bundesliga.
If the deal is completed, then Vidal would be teammates with Gary Medel who also plays for the Chilean National Team.
