Manchester City are set to offer £6m for the highly-rated Croatian midfielder, Ante Coric, 19.
Dinamo want a deal worth more than £10m but City are ready to enter into negotiations with a view to signing Coric as soon Croatia exit the European championships.
Coric, capped twice for his country’s senior side, has represented Croatia at every level from Under-15s upwards and was voted Young Player of the Year in 2015.
Since making his debut against RNK Split in April 2014, Coric has scored ten times in 67 appearances. He became the youngest player to score in the Europa League when he netted against Romanian side, Astra Giurgiu during Dinamo’s 5 – 1 win in September 2014.
Jurgen Klopp has already spoken to the player in an attempt to persuade him that his future lies at Anfield but the prospect of Champions League football puts City in the driving seat.
Guardiola is also set for talks this week with Samir Nasri, 28. The former French international wants to tie down his future to the club with his current five-year deal expiring in 2019.
