Arturo Vidal did not travel with Bayern Munich for the team’s pre-season tour in the United States and even though club officials said he is rehabbing from his injury on German soil, it does not take a genius to see it’s because Vidal is clearly on his way out of the club.
Based on recent reports, all signs indicate that Vidal is set to return to Italy. Both AC Milan and Inter Milan are tracking the Chile international, and both clubs would be the top contenders to get his signature.
However, both teams would have to comply with Bayern’s price tag to part ways with the Chilean, as the reigning Bundesliga champions do not want to part ways with their star midfielder unless they get the €30 million they are looking for. Inter would have the money to make an offer, whereas Milan wouldn’t due to their FIFA Fair Play restrictions.
Things would be a bit advanced between Bayern Munich and Inter, as the Nerazzurri sporting director, Piero Ausilio, reportedly met with German officials to discuss the availability of Vidal, who seems to be Inter’s top target to bolster the midfield. Pairing the Chilean with Radja Nainggolan would certainly bolster Inter’s midfield depth for the upcoming season.
