Times are changing fast in Napoli, one of the best teams in the Serie A in the past season.

Even though the team fininshed in second place in the league standings behind league-winners Juventus, the club will now go in a different direction. It was announced that manager Maurizio Sarri parted ways with the club, so now they must find a new alternative to lead the team on their quest to dethrone Juventus.

Sarri’s departure could have a few implications in other leagues. It is widely known that Chelsea are interested in securing Sarri’s services as the potential replacement for Antonio Conte, who is likely to leave the team as well, so there is a big chance that the Italian does not spend a lot of time without a job.

The one thing that is certain regarding Sarri’s departure is that he won’t join another Italian club, so he will be coaching abroad in his next gig.

Another established star that could leave the club is Marek Hamsik, one of the club’s biggest icons. The Slovakia international is keen to make a move elsewhere “in pursuit of new challenges”.

Hamsik has made almost 400 Serie A appearances for Napoli, and is currently the club’s all-time leading scorer. All signs indicate that he will go to China in the coming months, though nothing has been announced.
