Undefeated Serie A leaders and top Champions League contenders Juventus have been planning a January transfer window splash since late December, and now it seems they could be set to complete a massive two-player purchase in the coming days.

According to several reports, the Serie A giants are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the Champions League’s knockout stages and the second half of the league campaign, and they are keen to add midfielder reinforcements. Especifically, Juventus are keen to make a move for Real Madrid’s Isco, and Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele.

Adding Isco would boost the team’s creativity in the final third. It’s not that they need it since they already have a lot of creative-minded players on the wing, but the Real Madrid star and Spain international – who’s currently out of favour with manager Santiago Solari – would give Juventus a true n.° 10, something they have been lacking in the past few years.

Meanwhile, the addition of Ndombele – who is also a target for Manchester City and PSG – would add another body in midfield. But since the Lyon player is quite young, he could end up being Sami Khedira’s long-term replacement on the defensive midfielder role. He could even represent an upgrade over the German, who’s quickly losing a step this season.

Juventus are expected to submit formal offers for both players in the coming days. Will they be able to complete the negotiations before the end of the transfer window?
