AC Milan have been dealing with a plethora of injuries on their defensive line. And the Serie A giants are open to make an approach for an out-of-favour Premier League defender that certainly needs a change of scenery.

We’re talking about Andreas Christensen. The Denmark international, who was one of the best players for Chelsea during the 2017-18 Premier League season, is yet to feature for The Blues in the current term and his lone action has been limited to the international scene with his national team and cup competitions with the Premier League giants.

But he needs to play, and remains open to a change of scenery if things doesn’t change soon. Milan are expected to offer Christensen an escape route from his Stamford Bridge woes, and he would represent a much-needed upgrade over the current house in-house alternatives Milan have at their disposal.

Gennaro Gattuso has quality alternatives such as Mattia Caldara, Alessio Romagnoli, Cristian Zapata and Mateo Musacchio. But Christensen looks to be a better player than all of those previously mentioned.

Plus, Milan have been struggling with injuries on the defensive zone and Christensen looks to be a potential solution for both the short-term and long-term picture since he is only 22 years old. He has already shown what he can do with playing time, and Milan want to make him a relevant player once again. Just like he was for Chelsea a few months ago.
