Andrija Zivkovic could be on his way out of Benfica. The Portuguese ‘Record’ claim that the Serbian winger is being targeted by Ligue 1 side Rennes. The French club are apparently interested in signing Zivkovic on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
All of this comes to a little shock, as the 23-year-old did not enjoy his best football in the last 18 months. The youngest every player to feature for Serbia at senior level has played just over 1100 minutes across all competitions last season and the Under-21 European Championship this summer only proved further that Zivkovic has stagnated.
That is what Rennes want to get the most out of, as they could try and get the best performances from Zivkovic in a different setup. Former Partizan player was a huge promise in his teenage years, but the last two years proved that improving at the highest level is not easy.
#Rennes are targeting Andrija Živković. Record report that #Benfica winger could be loaned out to the #Ligue1 side with option to buy.
He had a couple of tough years at #SLB where he visibly stagnated. Last season he played just over 1100 mins & had a dreadful #U21EURO campaign. pic.twitter.com/xb6USWReY7
