RB Leipzig are decided to bring Ademola Lookman back into the squad, and will do everything they can to acquire the talented forward who spent last season on club at the German side.
Lookman belongs to Everton, but does not have a lot of chances to play in the first team considering the arrival of Richarlison and the presence of other attackers such as Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun.
With that in mind, RB Leipzig have tabled an improved £22 million offer for the Everton forward. In fact, The Mirror reported that the Bundesliga side “are refusing to give up on landing the 20-year-old” and are ready to break their transfer record to do so.
Cashing out on Lookman wouldn’t be a bad idea, though, as he is not going to play on a regular basis for the team and Leipzig are willing to spend a considerable amount of money for the 20-year-old forward. However, Everton are hoping to receive around £30 million to part ways with Lookman, so the Bundesliga powerhouse will need to aim higher.
Lookman featured in 11 matches for RB Leipzig last season, and registered five goals and four assists for the German side. With that kind of performance, there is no question why Leipzig want to sign him on a long-term scenario.
