AC Milan Reportedly Closing On Two New Strikers

AC Milan have been one of the biggest spenders during the current transfer window in Europe. But it seems the Serie A giants are not going to stop purchasing players any time soon.

A report from Gazzetta Dello Sport has indicated the Rossoneri have re-activated their interest in Fiorentina’s forward Nikola Kalinic, but he wouldn’t be the only player arriving to San Siro Stadium in the coming days. Milan are also keeping a close tab on Andrea Belotti’s situation, as the Torino marksman was one of the most prolific strikers in Italy last season and is interested in leaving Torino this summer.

Clinching both deals will not be easy, though. Fiorentina have said time and time again that they do not want to part ways with Kalinic despite the Croatian’s desire to leave for greener pastures. So Milan would probably have to overpay to get their man.

Belotti seems to be closer to join Milan after agreeing personal terms with the club, but Torino have been reluctant to sell. El Toro are asking for a €100 million fee, whereas Milan are counter-offering only €40M plus M’Baye Niang and Gabriel Paletta.

What can’t be denied is that both players were extremely productive last season, as Belotti finished the year third in scoring with 26 goals, while Kalinic found the back of the net 15 times. Both would add some much-needed firepower to a Milan side that wants to fight for the Serie A title this upcoming season.
