One of the biggest transfer stories throughout the past few months has been Real Madrid‘s “sense of urgency” to sign a new goalkeeper. Apparently Los Blancos believe they can find a better alternative than Keylor Navas, and have been looking at the market for potential alternatives.
Names such as David De Gea, Kepa, and Thibaut Courtois have been mentioned as alternatives. However, Alisson has also sneaked into the team’s agenda and according to a report from Il Corriere dello Sport, Los Blancos would be readying a summer bid for the talented AS Roma goalkeeper.
In fact, it is believed that Los Blancos already established contract with the player’s agents in an effort to agree on personal terms, but they have not talked to Roma regarding a potential transfer.
Alisson was reportedly offered a five-year deal worth €5 million per campaign, and that would see his current wage double almost instantly. And regarding the transfer fee, Roma will offer around €60 million to AS Roma, who might have no other alternative than to accept the bid since it sounds just too good to refuse.
The 25-year-old Alisson has made only 29 Serie A appearances for Roma in his career since he spent last season as a backup. But all signs indicate he is ready to move on to a bigger club, as some of the top teams in the world are already paying attention to him.
