Manchester United fear missing out on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Sources close to Manchester United have stated the club fear they miss will out on several high profile summer transfer targets if manager Louis Van Gaal stays in charge.

The Old Trafford hierarchy have been left red faced when Bayern Munich announced the signing of two of their top transfer targets this summer.

Both Mats Hummels, 27 and Renato Sanches, 18, joined Munich for a combined fee thought to be over £70m from Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon respectively.

United will now turn their attention to Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 24, but have been told by the players representatives he will not join if Van Gaal remains in charge.

Aubameyang has been in lethal form this season scoring 25 goals in 29 games, attracting interest from across Europe.

It will remain to be seen whether or not United can solve their managerial problem before any more of their targets join rival clubs.
