Balotelli rules out return to Liverpool “I never want to go back”

Mario Balotelli, 25, has gone on record and ruled out any return back to Liverpool, once his loan move at AC Milan finishes at the end of the season.

Balotelli told reporters “”What I want is certainly to stay at Milan, I was not happy at Liverpool and I do not want to go back there. I’ve been doing well in my last two games, there are another six for me to prove myself.”

Many at Liverpool will be relieved that the Italian international does not want to return to the club, however completing a permanent deal with Milan may be difficult. It is believed in order to finally get Balotelli off the Liverpool books, the club will have to release the player from his contract and allow him to move on a free.

This will be a bitter pill to swallow for the Liverpool ownership, having spent £16 million to acquire Balotelli in 2014. However with manager Jurgen Klopp expressing no desire to retain the player, the board will have no choice.
