Cristiano Ronaldo demanded that Real Madrid bring him the head of David De Gea, according to the Daily Mirror. His body as well would be useful if Saturday’s performance at Anfield is anything to go by.

De Gea, currently rated the best goalkeeper in English football, is proving once again to be a vital component of Manchester United‘s success, willing to throw any part of his body into the path of the ball to stop it entering the net.

Crucially, his quick reactions make it look all so effortless. Little wonder that the man some consider to be the best player in the world at the moment, wants him at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real’s stuttering start to the season is coming to an end with Los Meringues capitalising on Barcelona’s dropped points at the Wanda Metropolitano at the weekend. The gap to the top closed with the defending champions only needing to take six points from this season’s two Clasico’s to overhaul their rivals.

It’s little wonder Ronaldo wants De Gea. Thibault Courtois, 25, is stalling on a new deal at Chelsea with claims that the Belgian international is angling for a return to the Spanish capital.

If Cristiano Ronaldo has his way, it won’t be Bring Me the Head of Thibault Courtois but the body of David De Gea.
