De Gea To Complete Dream Madrid Move?

It’s one of world football’s longest-running transfer sagas but there are strong indications that Real Madrid may finally land David De Gea next summer, reports Eurosport.

The 26-year-old moved house recently much to the joy of Manchester United supporters but that elation could be short-lived.

It’s claimed that instead of buying a new property, the Spanish international has decided to rent instead. This means that he doesn’t have to worry about selling a property if he leaves the city.

A “source” is however, claiming that the house move is good news and that fans should not be concerned as De Gea “has long-term plans here.” Which sounds ominously like a transfer request is being prepared.

De Gea almost completed a move to Madrid in 2015 after Real courted him for several years before that. United were blamed for the collapse of the deal with the Spanish media claiming that the Red Devils failed to file the correct paperwork with the Football Association.

At the time, there was no extension offered to La Liga clubs by RFEF, the Spanish FA, to complete deals on deadline day. United were due to sign Keylor Navas as part of that deal and it seems likely that Jose Mourinho will want the Costa Rican this time as well with world-class goalkeepers in short supply.
