There has been a lot of talk regarding the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, especially after the Portuguese star said that “it was a pleasure to play for Real Madrid” after Los Blancos won the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League. Those words have created speculation and right now, no one knows what the future will hold for the Portuguese superstar.

One team that has been taking notice of his current situation is none other than PSG, as the Ligue 1 giants have been long-time admirers of the Portugal international and, according to a report from AS in Spain, they are set to make another assault to see if they can get the services of the former Manchester United star.

A move to PSG would certainly make sense for Ronaldo, at least from a financial standpoint. The French giants are only one of few teams in the world that could realistically accept his wage demands, and Ronaldo has made it clear that he is keen to leave Real Madrid. A change of scenery wouldn’t be a bad scenario, especially considering he would team up with the likes of Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe at the Parc des Princes.

However, things are not expected to be easy. PSG are under investigation by UEFA due to the Financial Fair Play Rules, and there is no secret that they would have to offload several players just to sign Ronaldo. But the sole fact that PSG are interested should be a cause for concern for Madrid. As the Ligue 1 giants showed last summer, they are willing to do whatever it takes to sign a player they want. They already did it with Neymar, why not doing it with CR7 as well?
