Three Premier League clubs are on the trail of Norwich City starlet Ben Godfrey, reports the Birmingham Mail.
Godfrey is receiving rave reports as the Shrews started the season well, currently sitting in second place.
However, Godfrey’s loan spell ends in January and he returns to Norwich City although Shrewsbury are keen to extend to the end of the season.
Norwich City boss Daniel Farke has yet to decide if he wants to retain the youngster’s services for the second half of the season. The Canaries find themselves slipping away from the promotion race and fresh blood in the squad might help reinvigorate their campaign.
Godfrey signed a new four-year deal in August as Norwich City protected their investment before letting him go out on loan. Farke told the local press that the decision to loan the youngster out was difficult to make. Bringing him back may be an equally tough one to make.
First-team football is helping Godfrey’s international prospects; his aspiration to be involved in the England Under-20s squad is being helped with the continuing first-team appearances.
