Manchester United Open To Join Neymar Race

It seems that Manchester United are ready to make another effort to sign Neymar. The Red Devils have been tracking the Brazilian star since his Santos days, but failed to sign him when he moved to both FC Barcelona and PSG.

However, The Red Devils could have another chance to sign the world-class forward if the report from the Mirror is true. The Old Trafford side is reportedly prepared to rival Real Madrid for the PSG star signature, as it is believed that the 26-year-old wants to leave PSG after just one season with the Ligue 1 giants.

Of course, signing Neymar won’t be easy or cheap. Considering we are talking about the most expensive player in football history, Neymar would cost far more than £200 million while commanding yearly wages of around £30 million per year. That would make him both the most expensive transfer, and the richest player in the world. Most teams would back down after seeing those figures.

However, that does not seem to be United’s case. The Premier League runners-up hope to persuade the 26-year-old’s father who, says the report, “is a United fan and would love his son to play for the club one day” although the final call would obviously be on Neymar.

PSG’s CEO & Chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, said Neymar will be with the team “2000% percent next season”, but that’s the same person that said there weren’t any negotiations going on before the Brazil star joined PSG from Barca. We will probably talk about this the entire summer, but one thing is certain.

United are serious on their bid, and they will do everything they can to sign the PSG star.
