Tottenham Hotspur didn’t sign new players during both transfer windows this season, and both the coaching staff and the players have been doubtful due to the team’s lack of moves over the course of the campaign. But that could change looking towards the 2019-20 campaign.

According to several reports in England, the Spurs are said to be planning a double switch that would see them land both Ivan Perisic, who plays for Inter Milan, and Daniel Sturridge, who’s reportedly quite low on Liverpool’s depth chart and would leave the club at the end of the current term.

Perisic is keen to complete a Premier League switch and he was open to join Arsenal during January, even forcing his way for a possible move through a transfer request. However, Arsenal’s decision to bring him to England on loan – and not on a permanent basis, as both him and Inter wanted – stalled talks. Now Tottenham are said to be leading the race for the 30-year-old.

Meanwhile, Sturridge is struggling to get consistent first-team minutes at Liverpool and, considering he will be a free agent at the end of the season, he would join the Spurs on a free transfer.

Adding these two players would undoubtedly boost the attacking line of the squad. One that already features names such as Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Heung-Min Son.
