Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had some nice performances for Serbia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and he is widely expected to move to a bigger club this summer. The Lazio superstar has several top sides tracking him, but one of the biggest ones in the world has reportedly entered the race to acquire him.

We are talking about Real Madrid, the winner of the past three UEFA Champions League titles. Los Merengues are desperately looking to sign at least two big names following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure to Juventus and even though the Serbian won’t be his replacement, he could fit the bill as a potential “change-of-guard” signing, perhaps showing what will the next stage be for Madrid.

It’s worth noting that the towering playmaker is coming off a formidable season with the Serie A side, and several high-profile sides are already making plans in an effort to persuade stubborn Lazio chiefs to sanction the summer sale of their star midfielder. Lazio are said to be asking around €100 million solely to start negotiations.

Juventus were considered favourites to land him, but it’s safe to say that they are now out of the race due to the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United and Barcelona were also two teams tracking the talented playmaker, but Real Madrid have made this a three-team race now. Who will come out on top to sign the coveted Serbia international?
