Luka Modric might be on his way out of Real Madrid quite soon, if the reports that are coming out of Spain hold any sort of truth. The Croatian midfielder could be considering a return to the Premier League, the league that saw him blossom into a world-class player.
According to a report from Diario Gol, Liverpool are keen to make a move for Modric, and the Croatian international would not discard the idea. The 32-year-old midfield maestro is keen on a Premier League return, and there is a growing chance that he might leave the Santiago Bernabeu outfit during the upcoming summer.
The same report indicates that Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp would be interested in signing the veteran playmaker, as he would add some much-needed creativity to the team. Modric can operate both as a central midfielder or as an attacking midfielder, and he would clearly represent an upgrade over the current in-house options. And as an experienced player who has won almost everything at club level with Los Blancos, he would also add some leadership to the side.
Liverpool are not the only team interested in Modric, however, as Arsenal are also keen to make a push for the Croatian star. However, a move to the Emirates Stadium does not look feasible considering Modric’s past as a Tottenham star.
