PSG are about to have a giant hole to fill in their midfield this upcoming summer. The impending departure of star playmaker Adrien Rabiot will leave a sizable gap on PSG’s midfield and while the reigning Ligue 1 champions have enough budget to try and sign any player in the world, they must act wisely.

Rabiot is certainly an interesting player, so PSG must sign someone who could fill his shoes without needing much adjustment time. Giovani Lo Celso is bound to sign with Betis on a permanent basis and Leandro Paredes could be a decent option, but PSG have set their sights on another target.

According to a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato, the reigning Ligue 1 champions and current league leaders have identified AC Milan star Franck Kessie as their priority target to replace Rabiot. The French international will depart as a free agent, but the Ivorian, who played for Atalanta before joining Milan ahead of the 2017-18 season, could be an interesting addition.

PSG are likely to face stiff competition to sign the Milan star, however, since both Arsenal and Chelsea are keen to land the talented midfielder. However, PSG shouldn’t have issues to engage in a bidding war for Kessie’s services.

Kessie, 22, has three goals and two assists in 21 Serie A appearances for Milan this term.
