Juventus have one of the best midfield groups in Europe thanks to players such as Sami Khedira, Miralem Pjanic, Claudio Marchisio and Blaise Matuidi, among others. But they are always looking to strengthen their side.
One of the alternatives that has been mentioned in recent weeks is the one of Dennis Praet. The Sampdoria playmaker has been linked with a move to the Bianconeri side and even though a deal is not even close, the player himself has revealed that there has been talks between both parties for a potential summer move.
The Bianconeri are believed to have been impressed with the midfielder’s performances and are reportedly considering a summer bid for his services.
“The Juventus interest? I prefer not to say anything, but I am aware of the fact there have been contacts with Sampdoria,” Praet told Belgian radio station Eleven Sport. “This is a very clear signal for me: it means that I am doing a great job here with the Blucerchiati.”
The 23-year-old has been in stellar form for Sampdoria since joining them from Belgian powerhouse Anderlecht, making a total of 52 Serie A appearances. With another stellar Serie A season under his belt and a potential World Cup appearance with the Belgian National Team in the coming months, he might be set to complete a move to Juventus at the perfect moment of his career.
