One of Bayern Munich’s biggest priorities ahead of the 2019-20 season was strengthening the attacking end. Despite the presence of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, Bayern needed to add depth considering the departures of both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Leroy Sane was Niko Kovac’s priority, but the Germany international suffered a gruesome knee injury and will be out for the next six or seven months. But instead of worrying too much, Bayern kept looking for alternatives and now they are details away from acquiring one of the most underrated wingers in Europe.
We’re talking about Ivan Perisic. The Serie A giants did not want the Croatian on the squad anymore, and Bayern have taken full advantage of that scenario to sign the former Wolfsburg star on loan for the upcoming campaign. Plus, Bayern will have the chance to sign the 30-year-old on a permanent basis if they pay Inter €20 million next summer. That’s a very low fee for a player of Perisic’s quality.
The loan move ahead of the upcoming 2019-20 season will include a €5M fee for Inter solely for the loan move, so they will end up receiving money either way. Perisic scored nine goals in 47 appearances across all competitions for Inter last term.
