Kylian Mbappe has been one of the hottest names in the transfer market this summer, and it seems everybody wants to know where the Monaco star will play during the upcoming season. And based on recent reports, he could stay in the Ligue 1 in the near future.
Mundo Deportivo and La Gazzetta Dello Sport have reported that PSG are nearing a deal with Jorge Mendes, Mbappe’s agent and the one in charge of leading the negotiations on Monaco’s side, for the transfer of the youngster. PSG would be willing to pay €180 million to land the France international, virtually the same amount Real wanted to spend a few weeks ago.
The main difference would be the wage for Mbappe and the fact that he could remain in Paris, keeping him closer to his family and friends. But in order for a deal to be completed, Mbappe would need to reach an agreement with PSG and that has not happened yet despite conflicting reports that said otherwise.
Mbappe has offers from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and PSG, so it seems clear he won’t be playing for AS Monaco much longer. The deal is not completed, but talks are quite advanced and there could be news very soon regarding the future of one of Europe’s brightest young players.
