Inter Milan could be on the verge of losing one of their most important playmakers to PSG, if the latest reports coming from Italy per Tuttosport are true.

Apparently Joao Mario is frustrated with his lack of playing time at Inter, and would be looking to play elsewhere – potentially leaving the Giuseppe Meazza outift during the January transfer window if the chance arises. PSG have taken note of the situation and could be interested in signing the Portugal international.

Inter are reportedly “willing to listen” to offers for the 24-year-old playmaker. Joao Mario joined Inter in 2016 from Sporting on a £36 million transfer, but hasn’t had many chances to impress Luciano Spalletti and is quickly growing dissatisfied with the lack of playing time he’s had during the current term.

Joao Mario lost his place to Borja Valero, who joined Inter from Fiorentina this summer and has established as the team’s starting attacking midfielder. He could operate on a wider role, but neither Antonio Candreva nor Ivan Perisic seem likely to leave the team any time soon. Therefore, the best option for the Portuguese would be to look for a new club, and PSG are set to contact the Nerazzurri. A deal seems imminent to happen at this point.

Joao Mario has been productive this season, however, registering four assists in nine Serie A appearances for Inter. Any team would be lucky to have him, and all signs indicate his time at Inter is quickly coming to an end.
