PSG have secured a move for the services of Gianluigi Buffon ahead of the 2018-19 season. However, the reigning Ligue 1 champions and UEFA Champions League contenders are obviously not done in the market yet. And based on recent reports, they could be in line to launch a massive offer for one of the best attacking players in the world right now.

According to Spain’s newspaper Mundo Deportivo, PSG are keen to make a splash to sign Philippe Coutinho in order to partner him with Neymar based on how well they understood each other during the World Cup. Although they could also see Coutinho as a potential Neymar replacement in case he leaves the club during the coming months.

PSG are ready to break their own world record by bidding €270 million for the 26-year-old. While Barcelona likely wouldn’t entertain any kind of figure for him, there’s always a chance that Coutinho could decide to follow the money in the same way that his Brazil teammate Neymar did.

Coutinho joined Barca on January this year after a successful stint with Liverpool, and in the past he had starred for Inter Milan as well. There is no question the talented playmaker is making a name for himself among top clubs, but his chances of leaving Barca are quite slim. Especially considering he hasn’t been been with the team for a whole calendar year.
