As the club continues to put in strong performances at the top of the Premier League, Tottenham find themselves fighting on all fronts to hold onto their star players.
According to Marca, Dele Alli, 21, is the latest player to be linked with a big-money move to one of Europe’s elite clubs with Real Madrid looking to take the free-scoring midfielder to the Bernabeu, alongside team-mate and England captain Harry Kane, 24.
Tottenham know the attraction of moving to the Spanish capital is something their best players will find hard to resist, particularly with the wages offered smashing the north London club’s wage structure.
Kane and Alli were with the England squad which beat Slovenia and Lithunia by a single goal in their past two matches, ensuring qualification for next summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
A strong set of performances there, on the back of Tottenham making the knockout rounds of this season’s Champions League may make that happen.
Kane was recently given a new contract worth £100,000 per week; Real Madrid would double that without blinking an eye, as well as bringing Dele Alli with him.
With the club set to move to a new stadium next summer, chairman Daniel Levy will fight hard to keep his star players to ensure ticket sales at the New White Hart Lane are unaffected by departures of star players.
