Even though FC Barcelona have one of the deepest midfield groups in Europe, there is no question that the Catalan side needs to sign at least ONE more playmaker to replace Andres Iniesta, who is set to depart the club once the current season comes to an end.
And even though Brazilian midfielder Arthur will join the side in the coming months, Los Blaugranas want someone who already knows what it’s like to play in the Champions League and for a top team. With that in mind, the Liga champions are set to rekindle their interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Rabiot would certainly fit the bill based on what the club wants. He has played in the Champions League in the past, knows what is like to play for a big team – such as PSG – and he has a ton of international experience since he has played for the France national team in the past.
The talented midfielder also rejected PSG’s latest contract offer, so all signs indicate that he is not looking to play with the reigning Ligue 1 champions anymore.
The 23-year-old Rabiot has shown a great deal of potential at Parc des Princes, scoring 22 goals and setting up another 15 in 204 appearances for the club.
