Ousmane Dembele has seen a huge rise on his playing time with FC Barcelona this season, and as a result the Frenchman has been playing at a higher level when compared to wht he did last season. However, that might not be enough to see him stay with Los Blaugranas for much longer.
According to several reports coming out of England, Los Cules want to part ways with the former Borussia Dortmund, and have gone as far as apparently telling the 21-year-old to “feel free to find himself a new club” during January. And Liverpool are exploring the possibility of offering the right winger as soon as the transfer window opens.
In fact, manager Jurgen Klopp is keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old winger who currently feels unsettled at Camp Nou. To make things even more complicated, he had a rough first season with the club, and hasn’t been able to impress despite costing close to £100 million.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool make an approach for the French star, but it would be hard to see him gaining regular playing time with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Xherdan Shaqiri already on the squad. But a player as talented as Dembele would definitively add some more pace to an attacking line that is already one of the best in the world.
It is worth noting Klopp already tried to sign Dembele this past summer, so this is a rumour worth keeping attention until the end of the January transfer window. It seems Dembele won’t be playing for Los Blaugranas for much longer.
