Philippe Coutinho was one of Liverpool’s best players last season, and the Brazilian went from being a talented midfielder, to one of the most decisive playmakers in the English Premier League over the past 12 months.
As such, it should not surprise anyone that some of the top clubs in the world have expressed their interest in the Liverpool star. Even though Coutinho has said repeatedly he is comfortable at Anfield Road, that has not stopped teams from enquiring about his availability.
FC Barcelona did it last month, but now two of the best clubs in the world have joined the discussion. PSG and Bayern Munich are both reportedly keen to land the Brazilian star, and it has been rumored the Ligue 1 giants could be preparing an offer above the €100 million mark to snatch him away from Merseyside.
It is easy to see why some of the top clubs in the world would want Coutinho. Aside from the fact that he is young and has a few years left to continue his growth before hitting his prime, he is also a versatile player who can play all over the attacking third. He fits best as an attacking midfielder behind a lone striker, but he spent most of the season playing on the left wing at Liverpool, proving to be quite a threat.
Coutinho was a huge reason why Liverpool will return to the UEFA Champions League next season. The 25-year-old contributed with 13 goals and seven assists in 31 Premier League appearances for the Reds.
