Few world-class players have a future as uncertain as Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Real Madrid superstar is now on vacaction following Portugal’s early exit of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and now it remains to be seen whether he wil remain with Real Madrid or not. His discomfort with Florentino Perez, the club and the appointment of Julen Lopetegui could all be factors for his potential departure. And with that in mind, Juventus are ready to jump into the (potential) race to sign him.
According to sources, the reigning Serie A champions are willing to do whatever it takes to secure Ronaldo’s services. Especially considering just how vocal Ronaldo has been when it comes to his potential departure from Madrid. Before the end of the season, the Portuguese star had a release clause of €1000M, but many believe that is no longer the case.
Money could end up being an issue as well, and that could trigger Ronaldo’s exit. The Portuguese star currently earns €23M per year and wants a raise that will pay him €30M per season, but Los Merengues are only willing to raise it to €25M… if they raise it at all. Meanwhile, Juventus could easily pay him whatever he wants as long as they can sign him.
Cristiano Ronaldo is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2021. In any case, the minimum offer would have to be €120M to even begin talks between both sides.
