What a difference a few months can make into someone’s thinking.
There was a lot of talk regarding the potential exit of Edinson Cavani from PSG due to his displeasure with Neymar and the way the team was performing on the European stage, and he was even linked with a move to the Premier League. However, that is not going to be the case anymore.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Edinson Cavani has revealed his desire to stay at the Parc des Princes for a long time, brushing off any potential talk regarding his departure from the club. That’s quite a turnaround given the way he behaved – and at times looked – within the team.
Neymar might be unhappy with Cavani and viceversa, but the Uruguayan’s contributions simply can’t be denied. The former Palermo and Napoli striker had another impressive season playing for Les Parisiens, as his contributions simply can’t be doubted. With 38 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions, Cavani has been an attacking monster for the Ligue 1 giants.
27 of his goals came in the Ligue 1, and those allowed PSG to win their fifth league title in the past six years. An if we based on his words, then there is no question that Cavani wants to continue winning things with the club. And with a Champions League ticket already secured, Cavani will give the French club just one more chance to see if they can finally win the UCL in the 2018-19 campaign.
