Real Madrid seem to be decided to bolster their current squad with some of the best players in the world. And according to latest reports, Los Blancos are targeting several English Premier League stars, including one that has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu outfit for quite some time.
According to The Sun, Real Madrid are planning a £120 million move for Eden Hazard, who is reportedly refusing to extend his current contract at Chelsea. The 26-year-old Belgian playmaker has a £300,000-per-week offer on the table, but it is believed that he is not willing to accept it since he wants to complete the move to Spain’s capital.
The aforementioned report indicated that Hazard’s father echoed the player’s feelings, saying that “Eden has refused a contract extension to be able, if necessary, to follow interest from Real Madrid.” At the same time, however, he did confirm that there has not been any sort of contact between the parties involved.
Hazard is in the midst of another impressive season at Chelsea, where he has emerged as one of the most consistent and most deadly playmakers in the Premier League. The former Lille star has five goals and two assists in 17 Premier League appearances this season, and there is no question that his creativity would do wonders on a Madrid side that also features the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco, and Cristiano Ronaldo, just to name a few.
