Diego Costa could be on his way out of Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian that became Spain international some five years ago seems to be having a hard time at his beloved club. Now, according to Calciomercato, clubs from Qatar and China are following the player’s situation in Madrid.
With the player not playing much, the clubs from rich leagues are intrigued and it would not be a surprise to see Costa make a move to one of those leagues. A total of just six La Liga goals since his return to Atletico from Chelsea is appalling.
Truth to be told, Atletico have limited his playing time, but nevertheless, Costa seems to be getting on a downward spiral. After some great years in England and a tough return to the club with which he played in a Champions League final, Costa might even leave Europe.
A Premier League return would be unlikely, as most English top-flight clubs would no longer be interested in paying big wages for a 31-year-old.
