Bayern Munich are coming off a huge 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund and are slowly turning their season around. However, Die Roten might try to add attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window.

According to a report from Goal.com, the reigning Bundesliga champions might attempt another move to sign Manchester City forward Leroy Sane. They were close to sign the Germany international during the summer, but the winger’s ACL injury sustained during the Community Shield stalled talks indefinitively.

Sane might eye a March return, and Bayern believe he would be a good addition for the second half of the season. Adding someone like Sane could be a huge boost for the stretch run of both the UEFA Champions League and the Bundesliga, especially if he returns to full health.

Bayern needed to replace the departures of both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery this summer. Serge Gnabry has stepped up of late, but neither Kingsley Coman nor Ivan Perisic have been difference-making players. Sane has the potential to be that, while becoming a core long-term piece for the club since he’s only 23 years old.

The Germany international registered 10 goals and 10 assists in 31 appearances for Manchester City during the 2018-19 Premier League season. He is yet to play a game this term.
