Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t be coming back to Old Trafford, according to a report from Sky Sports News.

Despite the fact Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bolster Manchester United’s depth upfront, particularly after the departures of both Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, The Red Devils are not going to make an effort to sign the 38-year-old Swede.

Zlatan has recently spoken at his regret of not joining Manchester United earlier in his career. However, based on recent information, the former Juventus star might never have the chance to suit up for the Old Trafford outfit ever again.

The Swedish star will be a free agent this season after a productive, yet tumultous two-year spell at Los Angeles Galaxy in MLS. Even though he scored 31 goals with eight assists in 31 appearances for LA Galaxy this season, he has been previously suspended and has made some unfortunate comments regarding the league in the past.

It is believed Napoli and AC Milan are keen to make a January move for Zlatan. As for Manchester United, they have the intention to make a January signing to complement the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, but they will be looking elsewhere. Mario Mandzukic has been recently named as a potential transfer target.
