Mexico international Hirving Lozano is being lined up by Chelsea as a replacement for Real Madrid bound Eden Hazard claims the Daily Express.

The 23-year-old hit the headlines as a pivotal member of the Mexico side which dumped Germany out of Russia 2018 World Cup finals. Lozano scored that day, making his first World Cup finals appearance one he will never forget.

For PSV, the Mexican flyer has 28 goals in 48 Eredivisie appearances since moving to Eindhoven from Pachuca in 2017.

Hazard, 27, is edging closer to his dream move to Real Madrid with the club’s interest in Lozano and Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic, 20. It’s reported Chelsea have agreed a £45m deal for the USA international which will ease the way for Real Madrid to reach agreement for the Belgium superstar.

Lozano, who earned the nickname of Chucky during his youth career thanks to his love of pranks, has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. With Maurizio Sarri losing faith in Alvaro Morata, 26, and Olivier Giroud, 31, as the Blues struggle for goals and fade into insignificance in the Premier League title race.

Sarri pleaded for Hazard’s future to be resolved quickly. It seems he may get his wish sooner than he expected.
