Undoubtedly, the Wolves have been the most surprising side in the English Premier League during the current season. And while names such as Rui Patricio, Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota have stood out above their teammates, one under-the-radar star has been Ruben Neves.

The Portuguese midfelder has settled as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe during the current campaign and considering he’s only 22 years old, he’s only going to get better with time. Wolverhampton know they might not keeping on the side much longer, and he’s already been the subject of several transfer rumours.

In fact, a report from El Gol Digitalhas been linking Neves with a potential €50 million move to Atletico Madrid. The talented playmaker, who has four goals with three assists during the current campaign, would act as a direct replacement in case any of Saul Niguez, Thomas Partey or Rodri Hernandez leave the side. All three have offers to play elsewhere during the upcoming term.

Plus, the Portugal star has also been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United in recent months, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise if he decides to stay in the Premier League. One thing is clear, though – it seems it will be a matter of WHEN the Wolves will sell him, and not IF they will part ways with him.
