According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, PSG would be open to part ways with Neymar next summer if that clears the avenue to extend Kylian Mbappe. The Brazilian has dealt with injuries all season long, has not played according to his expectations and, most importantly, he has been involved in several off-the-field incidents of late.
Meanwhile, Mbappe once again has been one the team’s top players and he was also the Ligue 1 top scorer during the 2018-19 season. Clearly, PSG rate Mbappe higher than than the former Barcelona star, and now it seems clear Neymar is the odd man out.
It remains to be seen which sides could afford Neymar. Both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have been linked with the Brazilian star, but PSG have not been able to reach an agreement with either of the two Liga giants. But considering his exit is inching closer and closer to become a reality, maybe it’s going to be easier for PSG to reach a deal that would allow the Brazilian to leave sooner than later.
