It seemed it was only a matter of time to see a news like the one we are about to announce. Unsurprisingly, reigning Ligue 1 champions and European giants PSG are the latest top side to be linked with a move for RB Salzburg star Erling Haland.

And honestly, who can blame them for expressing interest in the 19-year-old? The Norway international has been one of the deadliest strikers in Europe during the current term and has a better goalscoring record than Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Edinson Cavani, just to name a few, during the current campaign.

The Ligue 1 giants have a crowded attacking line this season, with Cavani, Mauro Icardi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and others leading the way. However, Cavani might leave the team this summer, and both Mbappe and Neymar have been linked with switches to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively. They might not be able to purchase Icardi on a permanent basis, either.

With that in mind, Haland could be a very good backup alternative. He is going to be expensive but if one team has enough to money to sign him, that’s PSG. They will face competition from Manchester United and FC Barcelona, howewver, as both are also keen to make a push for the Norwegian.

Haland, 19, became the first player to score SIX goals in his first three Champions League matches earlier this week after netting a brace against Napoli.
