Manchester United’s Italian right-back, Matteo Darmian, could be out of Old Trafford quite soon, if recent reports are true. Three Serie A sides are reportedly linked with a move for the former Torino star, and the move could happen as early as next January.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, former Italy international Darmian is wanted by three Italian clubs. They go by the names of Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli, although it is believed that The Old Lady are front-runners for his services. This is not the first time that Juventus have been linked with a move for Darmian, as they already wanted him back in 2015.

Darmian joined United in 2015, but his playing has decreased considerably in recent years following the arrival of Jose Mourinho. Antonio Valencia and Diogo Valot are ahead of him in the pecking order, so rumour has it that United would be open to a potential transfer, especially since they could lose him for free next summer.

For what is worth, Darmian is keen to return to his homeland, and these three Serie A clubs are looking to take advantage of their unsettlement to pry him away from Old Trafford. Especially since he will likely be available on a cut-price deal.

The 28-year-old Darmian has won 36 caps for Italy during his career.
