LOSC Lille will be in for a really interesting summer. The club chairman Gerard Lopez confirmed this weekend that the team’s star Nicolas Pepe will definitely leave Lille once the season is over. Lopez told Telefoot that the club cannot pass up on the big offers that are expected to come their way this summer and that the 23-year-old winger will be moving to a bigger club.
“It’s certain he will leave. He’s in a price range that we cannot ignore anymore,” he said. “There’s a career choice for him to make, I think he’ll have the choice to leave.”
Pepe has been heavily linked with a move to PSG, Bayern Munich and Arsenal, after scoring 19 Ligue 1 goals this season, propelling Lille to the second place in the league and a return to Champions League football. With big clubs waiting for the transfer window to start, Lille will be looking to sell for as much as possible and start improving the team for new challenges.
