Aston Villa Looking At Chelsea’s Pedro

Pedro, Chelsea

More Chelsea news! After the story broke out that the Blues have been given the permission to sign players in January transfer window, following the summer ban, there are talks of who could be leaving the club too.

One of those expected to not be part of Chelsea once the 2020-21 season rolls in is Pedro. The Spaniard is 32 years old and in his final year of the contract. With Chelsea being usually reluctant to renewing contracts with players older than 30, it is a sensible thing to believe Pedro will leave the club.

And that could be a great chance for Aston Villa, who could be taking the advantage. The Telegraph believe Villa’s offer of regular football could persuade the former Barcelona player to make a move to Birmingham as early as January. However, if that does not happen, Villa could offer him a bigger contract in the summer of 2020, when there will be no need to pay a transfer fee to his club.
