Serie A outfit Atalanta might have lost some of their key young players during the summer transfer window but they have already identified an exciting target to boost their ranks with.
The likes of Andrea Conti, Alessandro Bastoni and Franck Kessie have played an important role for Atalanta last season but with all three playing for different clubs now, Atalanta have set their sights on Allan Saint-Maximin as another highly talented youngster who is viewed as a ‘dream’ for La Dea.
Gian Piero Gasperini is a manager renowned for his great work with young players and OGC Nice winger is seen as perfect fit for Atalanta and Gasperini’s system.
Saint-Maximin only joined Nice from AS Monaco this summer after spending a year on loan at Bastia and Atalanta are aware they will not get their transfer target that easily.
The Italian outfit would be forced to fork much more than €10 million Nice paid for his services but that does not stand as a hurdle at this point, the Italian media report.
