Emre Can seems set to leave Juventus in the coming days. However, the Germany international is expected to remain in one of Europe’s top side if he does indeed leave The Old Lady before the end of the transfer window.

According to several reports, the Italian side wants to get rid of a midfielder before the end of the transfer market and Can would be the chosen one. There is interest for his services, however, as both Barcelona and Bayern Munich have expressed interest in his services.

Joining Bayern would be the best alternative for the 25-year-old. Die Roten do not have a midfielder with his characteristics aside from Javi Martinez, and he would easily become a start from day one if he ends up arriving at the Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile, it’s hard to see Can arriving at Barcelona. Los Blaugranas already have a logjam in midfield and adding Can into the mix would only complicate things even further. The reigning Liga champions have several defensive midfielders into their squad, such as Sergio Busquets, Sergi Roberto and Frenkie de Jong, so it makes no sense for them to target another player from the similar characteristics.

Can joined Juventus from Liverpool on a free transfer, but the Serie A giants are reportedly looking to receive around £30 million to let him go. Will either side pay that amount as we are only days away from seeing the end of the transfer window?
